Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Department Head with strong communication skills, a technical background, and leadership capabilities to manage our IT team and interact directly with clients in the USA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the security and efficiency of our systems, and maintaining compliance with relevant industry standards. The role requires an in-depth understanding of cloud technologies (AWS), server management, network security, managed IT services, and strong problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities: –

  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in the USA, ensuring clear and effective communication in English regarding technical updates, support, and IT projects.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the IT team, including mentoring, providing guidance, and ensuring effective delivery of services and projects.
  • Cloud Management: Oversee cloud infrastructure, with a particular focus on AWS, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and cost- effectiveness.
  • Server & Network Management: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers and networks to ensure smooth operations, including managing backups, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
  • Email Security & Backup: Implement and manage secure email systems, ensuring protection from phishing, malware, and other threats, while maintaining a robust backup and recovery strategy.
  • IT Audit & Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure IT processes are compliant with security regulations and best practices (GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001), ensuring readiness for internal and external audit.
  • Security & Firewalls: Manage and configure network security systems, including SOPHOS firewalls, Microsoft Sentinel, and Cisco switches, ensuring proactive monitoring and mitigation of security risks.
  • Security Policies: Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies and protocols to protect the organization from threats and vulnerabilities Troubleshooting: Lead in diagnosing and resolving complex IT infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and service disruption.
  • Managed IT Service Processes: Oversee and ensure best practices in managed IT services, including service desk operations, incident management, and client service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for all systems, processes, and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency in

IT operations.

  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and meeting business goals.

Key Qualifications: –

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field. (Master’s degree is a plus).

Experience: 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Technical Skills:

AWS: Proficiency in AWS cloud technologies (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, etc.).

  • Server Administration: Strong knowledge in managing

Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtual environments (VMware/Hyper-V).

  • Email Security: Experience managing email security systems and protocols.
  • Security & Compliance: Knowledge of security regulations, compliance standards, and conducting IT audits.

-Network Management: Experience with SOPHOS firewalls, Microsoft Sentinel, and Cisco switches.

  • Backup Solutions: Expertise in implementing and managing backup strategies for critical business systems.
  • Managed IT Services: Hands-on experience managing IT service processes, including ITIL best practices, incident management, and SLA adherence.
  • Documentation: Excellent ability to document IT processes, workflows, and technical issues clearly and concisely.

Required Competencies: –

  • Strong Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, especially with international clients.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to manage and lead an IT team, ensuring high performance and accountability.

-Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex and time- sensitive issues.

  • Client-Focused: Demonstrated experience working in a client-facing role, understanding client needs, and delivering effective IT solutions.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to work in any shift as required to support clients across different time zones and meet the needs of the business.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in all work, from technical configurations to compliance audits and documentation.

Preferred Skills: –

-ITIL or PMP certification for project management and service processes.

-Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar security frameworks.

-Experience with advanced firewall configurations and network architecture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹7,20,000.00 – ₹1,080,000.00 per year
